It is also possible to recover your 16 levels back by going and change every single note manually in the step edit window ... by changing the value from off to tune for example, and the old values will be there....

(I'm having a bit of problem to explain this one but i'm sure you will figure it out)

That's kind of what I figured. It sucks because I have very involved drum programming so to speak. I was considering recording the midi out into logic and just physically changing all the notes to the new note numbers, then just recording it back into the mpc. Seems like it might be easier the changing each note individually. I guess I just have a lot of work to do.

Thanks for the help.

The way i did it for like 300 songs in old akai os... was to load in the old os and save each songs as midi by changing the type when saving, and after that loading theses midi files in the new 2XL os.

Okay, got that figured out, now i have a new problem.

Certain samples won't play where they are supposed to. For example, I want a kick on beat one of bar 10. If I program it there I get nothing, but if I program it on bar 9 or 11 it plays fine. Any ideas?
