hi,

How Do I layer kicks without them making that phasing sound??? im trying to layer the same exact kick on top of each other. Is it possible?

no, mpcs are not sample accurate. the phasing is a result of the samples being triggered with a very small time difference between them.

why? all this does (if done in a sample accurate sampler) is make it 2x as loud and waste polyphony.
just normalize or turn up the level in program mode.

layering is for combining complementary sounds, not identical ones.

@Mr33Beats, anyway, layering 2 exact pickles aint right. You need to
change one or the other in order to get your sammich slice good.

what about laying the same kick, but run a low pass on it and nudge it a little forward on top of the original non filter kick.


that's what i'll do sometimes.
