Mpc 1000 no hard drive or cf card detected :(

hi,i have a mpc1000 black mpc1000bk
its running jjos 4.99 and i have a 40gb samsung hard drive installed
i was using the 32mb card ,i mainly use for sequence my synths and save only .seq and .midi files on it ,but i was trying to get some wav files into the sampler so i change the 32mb card for a 2gb from akai ,but now my mpc is not working anymore , if i turn the mpc on with a card it shows (akaimpc1000 128mb installed) after that only a blank screen , and if turn the mpc on whithout the card it does load ,but the hard drive is not working and when i try to format it says SYSTEM ERROR.

now i have only acess to the internal bank


any one knows how to solve this?

im from brazil i live in rio de janeiro, so its not that easy to get a replacement part and its very expensive ,

any feedback is welcome

Re-install the JJ operating system.

i doubt this is an OS error... what happened is you bent a pin when you swapped the compactflash cards. you need to be more gentle when inserting the compactflash card into the slot... don't ever force it if it doesn't want to go in... look inside your drive and i'm almost positive you'll see at least one bent pin making contact with another one... hopefully it's not damaged to the point of you not being able to bend it back into place... and treat your MPC like a baby from now on.

thanks for the reply , ive already open up , i think im gonna buy a new card reader... now i want to know my the hard drive is mess up , i will take the samsung hard drive and put on a HDD Case to see if is working

how difficult is to change a cf card reader on a mpc 1000?
