I have a korg r3 synth and since it cant save a seq of its own I would like to know if I can sample it it with out being in record mode? Also doea jjos have a wait for signle function so whenever I start playing then it will record?

Hi,
In AKAI OS and JJ OS you have a function called input thru that allows you to monitor the incoming sound in main screen (and other screens) so you can record without being in record mode. Check for audiotracks too, you'll probably need them.

JJ OS has a wait for key shortcut that is handy, check bottom of page 2 :

the MPC 1000 with JJ can sample in almost any state of playback, but the one drawback is if you want to keep the sample you have to stop playback of the sequence.

Even in the looper unless I am mistaken, you have to stop the loop to save.

I wish this wasn't the case.
