hey mpc heads. ive had the 1000 for about two months and have to say i love it. very similar to the 2kXL with alot of logical upgrades - i.e. sampling while the beat is plays, marvelous! anyway, im still figuring out the workflow with the machine and finally figured out "Save Entire Memory" feature. when coming back to that beat in its own folder i load up the Project file which from what i read should load up everything - sequences, songs, programs, but sometimes what loads are fake programs - it would list it in the main menu under the track its assigned to, but no sounds loaded. so i must load the program individually and its always works. im not sweating on this since i found that work around, well, kinda scared this will happen in a live set, but just wondering if im doing something wrong with 'save entire memory' here.

thanks in aaadvance!

this is a longtime bug but it occurs very rarely. other users have reported it and i myself have had it occur once in 6 years of working with the mpc. i believe something gets corrupted with the PROGRAM or PROJECT file.

try resaving entire memory into a new folder and see if the problem still occurs with the new folder.

try starting up the mpc withthe ERASE key held down to reset all the default settings (not sure if this trick works with OS 1, tho).

if this problem occurs rarely, i wouldn't worry about it too much, but if it happens to you a lot you probably have a more serious problem.
