I'm concidering to buy a used MPC1000, but I'm only concerned about one thing. The previous owner said he has bought the password for JJOS2XL, so it's possible to save the projects. How can I trust that what he's saying is true?

What does this screen means?

It has JJOS2XL version 3.16 installed... when you power on the MPC holding [TAP TEMPO] you can switch to the free jjos (no need to).

Go to SAVE mode [MODE] + PAD 3 and if it shows your media (CF or HD) then it's all good. This screen would ask for the password if it wasn't purchased.

I have a related question. I bought my MPC 1000 used and my screen looks exactly like the OP's, so I know I have JJ OS2XL v. 3.16 installed. I'm able to save stuff fine, so it's been authorized with a password.

My question is: can I view the password for JJ OS2XL in the MPC anywhere just so I can write it down somewhere in case the memory gets wiped?

Thanks
