midi sync keyobards with onboard sounds and recording midi a

hi im kind of confused but is there a way to midi sync like a keyboard with sounds and midi it with the mpc and then after record the audio from the keyboard into the mpc on an audio track. i mean it would have the midi data so everything should be quantized if anything so i can properly have the part in perfect place. im not sure what i am asking i just want to use the mpc to record the midi data for a sound i want on the keyboard then be able to record it onto an audio track. the audio should be into the record inputs in the mpc to record the audio and i would just fix the gain to get a good level. is this possible at all.

Yeah you can do it many ways. Hook up midi cables and then go to track and set it to midi. Then set midi channel number to match keyboard. Hey presto you can record midi into MPC and then play back that midi recording. Put it loop mode and do it again with other tracks set to different midi channels if the midi device is multitimbral. So in fact you can play up to 32 different channels at once. This is only if midi device has sounds. But you have recorded sequence so you can designate other device or even MPC instrument program

but isnt midi just audio ? ? ?
