Why is my slider not working correctly?

i have a filter on a program that i want the slider to control realtime but its not working the way i want it to. i want it the lpf to be at 80 when i slide it up and 30 when i slide it down but for some reason the filter is only responding when i set it directly in the middle.... which is annoyingly difficult to do.

this is odd because its realtime so even by it not being in the middle i should hear some type of movement with the filter but i get nothing.

im stumped. anybody with more knowledge on sliders please chime in

Go to [MODE]+PAD1 (SLIDER) and check that you're getting consistent values (eg. low -> high gradually and values aren't jumping randomly).

if there's a problem, then you have a faulty/broken slider.
