beta testing is mixed bag of fun and frustration.
i'm more comfortable navigating the mpc2500 now. especially after patching in my pads with the silicone gap fix. if anyone has not modded their MPC with the silicone fix, i highly recommend it. to be honest, the pads are practically unusable without it. it's terrible. patch in the silicone, and you go from crap to gold.
anyway, my experience with os128xl has been better than i expected given the list of features that had been removed. the new grid is pretty damn good.
as of right now, QLINK has the following params:
tune, attack, filters, level, pan, layer, attack, decay, transpose (new! i think) velocity, and lfo depth and rate. these are all per PAD - it appears there is not an ALL PADS option yet.
it also has CC, track level, track pan and tempo.
i am finding some bugs, some incomplete screens, and some workflow adjustments that ought to be made. i still very much miss PGM TRIM and TRIM SLICE.
PAD CYCLE from the main screen is more powerful now...very cool functionality there
more details as i continue to work.
