He also fixed a minor issue that I had asked him about.

If you're using all 4 midi outs (4 keyboards), sometimes you wanna solo a midi signal to overdub while the other instruments still play. In mode + pad 9, the midi soft thru was messed up for C & D. You couldn't solo those outputs because they would sustain forever (no note end information).

Not a dealbreaker, but still affects workflow. Anyway, he fixed it the same day I pointed it out to him. Can't say Akai woulda done the same...

Edit: I'm talking about the 2500's 3.20.

yeah that is really good. I am forever hitting stat 4 times in a row to get rid of the hung note. or changing synth patch. Good one

Yeah I'm pretty happy with what JJ has done with the OS. And his customer support.

I've been bashing JJOS forever on gearslutz/FP because of the lack of 'direct record'. It was a total dealbreaker for me. And I've seen many others say the same. I'm glad he made the OSXL version free (minus save) so that I can actually compare things accurately. And not just use the free version & talk outa my ass.

Fact of the matter is that the loop recorder is 99% the same thing as direct record.

And that's in addition to the audio tracks.

Just wish I woulda jumped on the bandwagon 2 years ago. I've been in the dark ages!

Really though. I always smile when I think about how a single man offers the best support and customer rapport even with a huge language barrier, in the whole industry.
