Program change on mpc 1000 with free JJOS

Can anyone explain or point me to a resource explaining program/bank change messages in the free JJOS?

I didn't think the OS could do this but today whenever I hit the play button on a sequence the keyboard would change to a different patch.

Go to [MODE] + PAD 14 for STEP EDIT
Press [OVER DUB]
Change the program from your keyboard
Look at the CC and PC

What I'm guessing happened, is you were recording, left over dub on while changing programs, and it recorded those events, so when you played it back, it was changing again.

that is PCs from main screen, you can also insert PCs and the usual CC0 for BANK SELECT in sequences window. Also some equipment uses SysEx and that might be in there instead so you will not see PCs. Depends. hit window when highlighted to open options such as MSB LSB from main screen. Hit window over sysex for editing in sequencer. This depends on the gear you are sending the PCs to as well, some are different and require CCs MSB LSB ect. This is also different for MPC program changes as well, which is not MIDI but for switching your Drum programs in sequences as they play, which is cool to.
