Bug fixes: OS2XL Ver3.22 01-OCT-2012
-----------------------------------------------------
1. [REC]+[PLAY START] => [STOP] => [PLAY START]

It will hang, if a [NEXT SEQ]+DATA wheel is turned.

2. When the type of a track is AUDIO, a sequence cannot be changed by a [NEXT SEQ]+DATA wheel.

3. [MIDI/SYNC]

Even if it press F3 (BEND) button after pressing F6 (SCREEN) button, a screen does not change.

Does that refer to how if it's playing and you hit rec-start, it would immediately start, no count-in? If co, cool, that bothered me.

You can change the count in. But you also want to punch in / punch out recording mode as well. I do this with footswitch myself.

hey, has anyone here had problems with this OS update, after updating - the switch off, switch on phase, my OS cant boot up past the version screen, it then reverts back to loading the version screen endlessly.

i wouldnt normally shout out too soon n cause a panic, but this hasn't happened in the 5 odd years ive had this MPC.

Check that the OS file size you downloaded is around 1.5mb... I once got it only partially and it caused this issue..

Download the free jjos and place it to your CF-card root. Boot the machine holding [WINDOW] and reinstall the free jjos (follow onscreen instructions). Then you can proceed to install the new 2XL update (after confirming that you downloaded it right).

Try also using the "The download site of Mac User is here."-link to download the OS and compare file sizes.

YO thanks, i cant beleive i never spotted that, hasnt happened b4 tho'.

thats exactly the problem, i just looked at the file size, was 2xx kb. so was a partial file, and for some reason it can actually try to run hahah!

thanks, i just re-downloaded it, replacing the bad one, and all is well.

PS - possibly a good tip to anyone out there who gets into the same mess, i realised i could use JJ's clever dual boot OS, by holding TAP TEMPO down (in my case this flips me between my JJOS1 and my JJOS2XL) so i just booted up holding tap tempo to get to an otherwise working OS1 quickly with no need to reset the hardware, then went into the files and deleted the incomplete OS2XL, and using 'LOAD/SAVE' MOUNT, to get the fully functioning OS2XL on there again.
