The main feature holding me back from getting the xlcd is patched phrase...
The ability to manipulate tempo live and maintain a sample loop without affecting pitch is pretty amazing.
It's not something I ever had on my 2000xl but is highly desirable.... not so much interested for drum patterns but really sampled synth and keyboard (my Rhodes Mk 1 loops)
If someone can suggest a quick way of f doing this on the 128xl version of jjos.. I'd be really grateful.... I've tried with beat slicing but I think I am missing something as speeding up sounds choppy and slowing down gappy....
Admittedly with 2000xl I used mainly hit samples and didn't do a great deal of loop sampling... relying on my outboard synths being driven by the MPC sequencer...
