Sample continues after muting track

I have a loop running continuously. On top of that i play other sounds from other pads and record it. The samples are as one shot. I want to mute the samples who're on top of the loop so I hit mute in either the sequence window or in the tracks mute window. After hitting mute, the muted tracks continues to play till the end of the sample, cause I retrigger it in the sequence at a certrain point. Is there any way to completely mute the tracks/pad after hitting mute?

Unsure about the free version, but jjosxl can do this. Mode + Pad 10 = OTHER menu.

Mute/stop of one-shot sample field:
During play of one-shot samples, it is the field which selects behavior when muted or [STOP] button is pressed.
THROUGH: One shot samples are always played until sample end.
IMMEDIATE: One shot samples are stopped immediately when pressing stop or muting the pad.

you can't mute while playing sequences in SONG mode... you can't really do anything other than let the SONG play.

you need to record the mutes in your sequence and then use that in SONG mode.
