On my MPC1000, the Q1 slider started acting up after I installed some new pads. Basically what happens is when I move the slider up or down, there's a delay of about a full second and then the numbers ramp up or down to catch up to where the slider is. When I'm using Q2 (which works fine), it affects the numerical values of Q1 in the same way.

This problem has made Q1 unusable. Does anyone know what's going on here? Any help would be much appreciated.

Check you did not unplug or damage the lead going into the Q-link slider board. Might have just knocked it out hopefully, when you did your pad upgrade.
Or your slider itself is just getting old and needs replacing. They do not last for ever
