So I have my microKorg out connected to my record in on my mpc1000 my question is why when I play it out in real time on an audio track, it comes out way off? Does it have to do with not using midi or can that be fixed or is it just my mpc? :-?

MIDI OUT OF MPC > MIDI IN OF MICROKORG
MIDI OUT OF MICROKORG > MIDI IN MPC
AUDIO FROM MICROKORG > MPC INPUTS

set PRGM to "OFF" and mode to "MIDI" not "DRUM"
Set Midi channel to 1-A.

Now record your synth, it will capture the midi events and send them back to the KORG which will in turn play audio.

Either have KORG hooked up to mixer or to MPC, if you want to hear it while your playing go to

MIXER, INPUT THRU > ON. lets you monitor record in while playing beats.

or

use this thread that you could have searched for........

which has some good alternatives.

Personally, i would sequence midi then record Audio last. means you can edit midi with the MPC before commiting to Audio.
