JJOS XL trim mode LOOP pad doesnt work

so ive been using the free jjos for a while now...i want to buy the paid version so i decided to try it out first...i installed JJOSxl and immediately loaded a sample and went into trim mode...
my workflow is usually done by finding a loop and holding pad 13 down to see if it loops nicely...but Pad 13 doesnt do anything for me...is there something that im missing? maybe a new way to do this? or is this feature removed?

thanks...but that doesnt have any info as to why pad 13 doesnt loop my selection...is there no way to loop a selection? sometimes i have very tricky samples that i need to loop BEFORE i extract it and chop it...
if you dont know what im talking about, load up jjos 3.10(free) then go to trim mode, make a selection and hold down PAD 13 and you'll know what im talking about...in my opinion, it is a very important feature that is simply not there anymore

This is clearly written in link above:

"If PAD1-PAD4 is pressed, a sample will be playback by NOTE ON.
If PAD5-PAD8 is pressed, a sample will be playback by ONE SHOT."

You have to engage a loop first.

no it doesnt clearly state my question at all...in that page, it only mentions anything to do with pads 1-12...the special functions on pads 13-16 are not mentioned at all...pads 13-16 work completely different from all of the rest of the pads and pad 13 used to be my main part of my chopping workflow because i sample in between transients, so it's very hard to determine if my chop is good without this VERY important function...
i guess i have to make a selection, and then go into the loop mode and set the parameters for that just to do something very simple...

OK, in fact it doesn't clearly state this.. Pad13 plays the loop like it used to do, you have to turn ON the loop (F4).
