Cc automation in 2xl

Whats up forum. Nub here. Recently picked up a 1000 with os1 and 2 already loaded. Since itd just be 15 bucks on top I'm thinking of picking up 2xl as well.

Been researching the issues with q-link and volume/pan automation in xl, which could cramp my workflow...but here's my question: since xl supports cc input from external midi devices and I'm not dead set on using the q sliders for everything, could I work around the limitations by overdubbing volume/pan cc from my controller and automating for playback? In other words I guess, does xl support automation for any cc value, including vol and pan?

Yes it does and it's easy

Here's what you can do for mpc's internal sounds:

MPC JJOSXL MIDI IN:

[cc] => [desc]
---------------------------------------------
#01 => Modulation wheel
#02 or 74 => Filter Cutoff
#07 => Volume
#10 => Pan
#71 => Filter resonance
#91 => FX send


FX2 CC controllable
PAD MIXER CC controllable

And of course you can rec any cc and mpc's able to output it to external source.
