OS3 new update is released!

OS3 new update is released .. For the people who didn't know

Did you happen to check if the audio distortion bug is fixed or still there?

When i started mpc with the new update, the sound was still distorted.
Then i changed it from analog to digital and back to analog in recording mode & the distorted sound was gone.
Every time i start the mpc now, i have no problems with the sound.
Now Lets hope its stays that way.

I dont know.. I only own the 2500.
It has to do with jj os3, so i think the 1000 got the same problem with os3.

I will only go back to it if the choppin isnt sluggish,play cursor when u zoon in and proper non destructive chop.Are these things in the update??

until then im back on jjos2xl

Chopping isnt sluggish for me.. What do you mean with play cursor when you zoom in?
It now has "non destructive slice" its different in use then OSXL.
I think this way of "non destructive slice "is better.
In my opinion the workflow of OS3 is better.

This video shows the non destructive chopping in OS3/os128xl. Not bad!! but it looks like theres def an advantage with the large screen vs the small. I have the small screen (OS3) but Im going to give it a go. doing the chopping in program edit mode would allow you to chop by ear in os3, but some might look at it as a plus. Just hope that in OS3 you can make detailed adjustments to the start/end points. I saw a zoom function in 128xl but nothing on OS3. I do like the idea of now not being limited to 32 chops like it is in os2xl"s ndc mode....

Its not true that the OS128XL Has more advantage.. As in the OS128XL you can see the waveform in OS3..

I kind of agree, but I think it makes the 1000 look like a little BEAST !!!!!

Obviously personal preference, but I think the big screen looks more balanced on the MPC2500, while the small factory screen looks squashed and too small for it, and also find the large screen on the MPC1000 looks to large for it.

Actually from looking at this pic I've changed my mind, it looks really good. I still love the look of the big screen on the 1000 though. It kind of looks so wrong that it ends up looking right. Sounds weird I know haha

Once again! i gave OS3 another try and the chopping is not as fast as os2xl.I prefer the non-destructive chop in os2xl more so than OS3.Ill go back to it when it works for me.

You can still chop the same way as in 2xl, just have to do few more steps.
I use os3 for few days so I dont know if there is faster way to accomplish this:
1.Go into trim mode, select your sample and press PGM MODE(F1)
2.Go into progam mode, set your sample to any pad.
3.press F1 to enter SAMPLE2 window.
4.Move your cursor to the start column,
5.Press WINDOW button
6.enter the amount of slices you want to have
7.Press Do it (F3)
8.Go into trim mode and voilla.

P.S. Zooming samples in program mode would make me **** HAPPY as I could chop just by ear.

EDIT: Zooming is attached, idk how could I missed it. BAR>> and BAR <<
