Midi foot pedal to operate mode button.

I recently had to go from a 2500 to a 1000 due to my 2500 getting destroyed....anyway I always use jj os and I had the numerical keys on the 2500 assigned to a function. Obviously this can't be done on the 1000 because there aren't any numerical keys. I know that os 2xl and perhaps os 3 allow you to set a midi key to an mpc function. So I am looking for a piece of crap midi foot pedal that I can use purely in place of the mode key. I know it sounds ridiculous but it really annoys me having to press mode all the time, it feels like it will wear the button out in weeks. Does anyone know know of anything extremely cheap I could use for this purpose?
