Os 3 chopping confusion.

I'm so confused! I keep stumbling upon this incredible feature where I chop a break and when I scroll it will auto stop at the next drum hit which makes chopping CRAZY fast... But then I record and try it on the next break and the feature is gone?!?!?!?

I'll try and be more specific.

So I was chopping a drum break and the mpc was letting me scroll the start point forwards until the start and the end point were moving together, the start point would then stop as soon as it hit a peak (drum) in the wave form meaning I chopped a break in seconds by hitting pad A and scrolling forward untill it hit a drum, then pressed pad b and did the same, then c then d and so on...

......but.....I couldn't make it do that again!
