I just started using Ableton 9 after a very long hiatus from computers.
I fell inlove with my MPC one day a few years back and never stopped using it, i modded the shit out of, added thick fat pads, the screen mod and the jj02128xl OS and that changed things a bit. For whatever reason i started tooling around on ableton one day while i didnt have access to my mpc and realised how much i like the midi capabilities of a computer and kind of missed it, so now im using ableton to do all my midi stuff and got my MPC back and want to integrate it into my system because i love the pads, id like to be able to still sample into the mpc and do the weird shit i find myself doing to samples and such with it. i dont really want to use ableton for anything but midi and maybe multitrack recording but im more likly to use protools and rewire ableton into that. So what is left for my mpc? i like sampeling my motif's drum sounds into my mpc and manipulating them in there and then pounding my beats out on that but maybe i can get away from using the seq on the mpc? Ive tried a few things and i seem to keep getting a midi "feedback" loop so to speak, when i hit a pad it triggers the sample inside of the mpc, sends the midi data immediately into ableton which passes it back to the mpc and again triggers the sample inside of the mpc one more time a few milliseconds later and so i hear the sample kind of phased on top of its self. during playback it doesn't sound phased and i know why, but i cant figure out how to get rid of that during tracking if you will. Its like the MPC needs a "local off". Anyone know what im talking about?

Do you use an MPC1000 with ableton9 or any version and what do you find yourself most commonly or uncommonly doing?
