Newb Q? ... Program saving behaviour ...

Hello there !
Newb here so be cool !

Upgraded with jjos2xl a month ago ... very happy about my new machine !

I've got a little question about the saving process :
When I change something in a program (for example erase a sample on a pad, change the out routing of a pad), I can't save it with the "ALL PROGRAM" saving option ... it just doesn't save the mod I've made ...
I've got to save each program one by one ... is that normal ?

Make sure you have selected "YES" as it asks do you want to replace same files.

OK yes you can but only if I understand the question correctly.

You have to save the sound on the MicroKorg first and over write the preset. See manual. Now all you do is create a MIDI PROGRAM CHANGE. It depends which JJOS you are using for the how to, but it is all in the manual and pretty much the same... Just send a program change. So now, when you load a project the midi program change will select the microkorg patch for you automatically - that is what it is for.

You can save all the patches and or just one patch via sys ex but if you dont know PCs then you wont be needing System Exclusive messages for a long time.

So make a program change and just count the banks A/B is 16 total, and this is how you count them. Also MPC can record the program change, pro tip - to record PC via midi out to MPC make sur you are on wrong patch then stop / record correct PC by changing program on synth. That is pretty easy to do.

btw dude said he wanted to turn the keyboard off and play the beat with the sounds made on the keyboard. also if you put a program change in there and run the sequencer on loop, youll keep loading the patch and any tweaks you do will be lost.

well you record changes to patch or do what I do and use another track with same midi channel so you can mute em.
