Accessing note numbers 0-11 - Impossible?

Hi,

Just traded my 2500 for a 1000 for a more compact live rig. Having used the 4000 for a while, I just realized a shortcoming on my 1000 that I have problems coping with.

I need to use MIDI note numbers 0-11 with the pads on the 1k (to trigger my analog rytm multitimbrally from a single track). So far this baby is running JJOS free, and that doesn't allow setting note numbers below 35?! Is this the same with other versions of JJOS?

If not, why not? Are the midi note range of 0-35 reserved for something internal?

Concerning OS2XL there's the Pad to MIDI note out function :

And these values can be set to any midi note number?

How long have you been using it?
It's still on my wish list but I haven't find a good deal in my area yet.

abt 4 months now, and I do like it alot, it's just too massive to take to jams etc. If you are using a lot of MIDI hardware with your MPC, the 4k is a really powerful sequencer with tight MIDI timing - if only it were a lil' smaller :p

What about Q links? Do you use them?

Haven't used the qlinks that heavily on the 4k yet. For what I have used them for they've worked like expected..
