Data wheel error - entry or cursor

Hello!
i have a question about the data jog wheel, i searched the forum but didnt find anything... so maybe its only me with this problem / bug, or its easy to solve..

sometimes the data wheel is "switching mode" so it does not change the data value anymore, but goes up and down in the menu like the cursor does! its very annoying in program edit for example, and i have to restart the mpc to work proper again.

is this a known function and can i just toggle it?
or a bug ... i tried lots of button combinations but nothing worked

Rather than a bug it sounds like a hardware problem to me.

a hardware problem? hmm but its responding fine, just its funktion is switching sometimes.... sometimes it feels like i accidentally triggered it
