Performance tricks for playing live with Mpc1000 JJOSXL2

Hi I'm looking at doing a live set where I hit beats live, I was wondering do you have any stunts or tricks you use live? I haven't yet got into assigning the Q fader, is it a powerful tool for live work?
I play hip-hop and I have a different project that's synth wave, so I'll midi sync the 1000 to n external looper so I can layer up stuff alongside the beats eadily. the hip-hop set is just punching pads occasionally triggering a sequence and jamming out on sax/vocoder!
any tips would be really great

Funny you mention this, I literally just made a video doing this yesterday! I use the Q link for pitch control on a scratching sample pretty extensively in this!

* Pad cycling - random or round-robin! On 2XL it only works from hitting the pads live. OS3 it works when playing back sequences (unless I'm going crazy).

* use the multi outputs to do some mixing or Kaoss pad instrumentality

* cover your loading times & segue between songs using audio play thru from the MPC inputs - play stuff off your phone etc.
