I've been out of the loop for a min. I switched to the 2000XL just to get a more basic feel alternative for producing but still use and have a ton of projects on the 1000.

I had settled on OS2XL for a long time then before I switched to the 2000XL started using OS3. It has its quirks but I felt like I was about as comfortable on that as 2XL. I haven't seen a whole lot of discussion on what people like more. You switch to OS3 and you lose some functions but gain some other functions, and the sample screen is a bit different. That's basically all I really took away from the switch. Did anyone try OS3 but settle on 2XL in the end?

Count me in too. I needed that arpeggiator and chord sequencing feature that was somewhat crippled in OS3 (How? I can't remember at the moment since I have been using 2xl for so long since). There were some other changes I didn't like, but also can't recall at the moment. Nothing that made the machine unusable for it's main purpose... Making awesome tracks.

Horses for courses ..
I like the OS128xl.. which is mostly the same as OS3..
From what I can see the arpeggiator is the same on the 2.. so maybe issues with earlier versions..
