I posted a while ago on this subject, but here again the same issue pops up....
In this new GS (6-page) thread about the "character" of the MPC3000 vs other MPCs adjectives used for MPC60/3000 were:
Of course It is being implied that the MPC1000 (and probably the 2500) pretty much failed in these areas, and that "serious" work was mostly done with the pre-numark machines...
Is this yet another example of gear-slutzing /fetishism ??
So finally my question: anybody here with a JJOS2XL/MPC1000 would switch for a MPC3000/60 if there was a suitable opportunity ??

distinct sound
warm
funkier
lofi
beefy
crunchy
super tight timing
rock solid midi
sound magical
rocks the hardest
