Hi guys,
Couple strange, glitchy things happening. Which I've only noticed now, because in 5 years I have never really used the Q-link sliders! P.S. I bought the MPC2500 second hand, with "JJ-OS XL version 1.23" already on it.
My questions:
1) When I turn one of the Q-link knobs (Q4), it alters it's own 'value', as well as the value for one of the sliders (Q1)
2) When I slide Q-link slider (Q1), sometimes it's value changes (between 80-127); other times it doesn't react at all.
3) My hunch is that this is a non-mechanical issue, and has to do with some kind of bug? I sprayed some electric cleaner in the Q1 slider but that hasn't helped.
4) I thought I'd look on the net for someone who has the same OS as me. But as far as I can tell, I'm about the only person in the world with this particular version of JJOS (JJOS-XL version 1.23 is what is says on load up). Or does this particular version go by some other name? For instance, on the JJ-OS comparison page, I can't see "JJOS-XL version 1.23" listed anywhere. But I do see OS-XL there. Is JJOS-XL version 1.23 the same as OS-XL?
5) Does this look like a bug issue to you guys? And suggestions for a solution? I see that at least one other person has noticed "crosstalk" between Q-link controls... viewtopic.php?f=21&t=141325.
Do I need to update my JJ-OS perhaps? Ideally I would like to use the Q-links to control aspects of Ableton live.
