Once an INST program is set, I can use it on a track. But I noticed I can use this INST program on a DRUM or on a MIDI track type. There doesn't seem to be a difference as far as the project ( the only thing differing being the grid structure).
Am I missing something ? Is there a "better" track type to be used with an INST program ?

In some cases they work different - note selection in seqence edit, erease is "per pad" over drum track type and in midi is "range". Sequence edit is same function, as grid edit, just in number like form as opposed to visual grid. I usually have set as drum for editing, even I play over midi. Same with recording an ARP track, after recording there is a need for switch to drum or midi, as some things work diff.
