I just did a quick test with the time stretch. It's a nice add-on and a sample can be played, but I didn't figure out how to use it in a sequence. Meaning like there's no way to sequence that time stretched sample, I think. I hope that feature will be soon in a future update.

Hi,

I tried this feature (i asked for it on Kazumasa Murai's Youtube Channel a week ago).
Correct me if i'm wrong, but you can't record the effect in a sequence. You can timestretch/pitch shift your sample, then sample it in your computer, and then record the timestretched sample in you MPC, or copy the sample in your compact flash/hard disk in order to use it.
Maybe one day we 'll have the pleasure to convert the timestretched sample in the sample bank, wich would be PERFECT. (Let's wait!) :-D

I just asked on Kazumasa Murai's YT Channel if the programmer could add this :

Converting the timestretched/pitchshifted sample in order to have it in the sample list.
(I would'nt have to record the timestretched/pitchshifted sample in my computer, and then record it in the MPC or transfer it in the compact flash anymore)
It would be PERFECT !! :-D

I use XL on my 2500 but this feature makes me want to try os3 out. For those that have tried this feature, when the description of the feature says you can't record, does that mean you can't record the q link data into a sequence or is it that you can't resample and create a new sample in real time, or is it that you can't do either of them? Can you mess with the pitch shift and time stretch as a sequence plays or do you have to stop the sequencer to access this feature?

Sorry if my questions are on some basic shit but I never really used the input through pitch shift time stretch feature, been a while since I tried it last but I remember I didn't really care for it. Just wondering how this one works.

Thanks, B.A.

from memory how it worked before:
you can play 32 voices, you can play pads normally, samples can be in loop mode as loop&hold to carry on non stop
sequencer is off in pitch shift page - no q-link recording
recording is disabled and only to external rec

it's eating up much of a cpu - this is very restricted use, and much artifacts in large scale, so you can't change tempo very much, but go ahead.
on xl you set q-link tune to whole 64 pads (1st for positive value, and 2nd for negative- or vice versa) and to make it equal with the same TUNE value as in PS page
and obviously by cables from out 1&2 to input thru, and setting up a program to 1&2

Thanks for the reply, I'll probably give this feature another shot, it's been awhile since I messed with it.
