little big problem on akai mpc1000 (for me)

I also have an akai mpc1000 and a korg microkorg sync to midi channel one.
i kann't understand how to write notes from 1C to 3C.. also the deep notes..
i hope you understand what i mean..
i have no more free pad banks to write notes on the mode 15 on jjos
so i kann record the midi sequence but kann't reedit if somethings went wrong :\
i would be very happy to know how.. you would save me a bass line ^^
