Setting the monitor field to on/off when recording main out.

Greetings, I had this question about the monitor field on the RECORD page on my mpc.
When I use the Mixdown function to record my song, is there any difference to the outcome when setting the monitor to OFF instead of ON?
I think I had read something related to that on a topic somewhere, but I can't find it.
Could someone shed some light on that?
I am using JJOS 2XL by the way.

It shouldnt make any difference cause you are resampling your output, not your input.

On my mpcs monitoring is set to OFF. I can hear all sounds through my interface/mixer, so no need for monitoring.

That's what I thought myself. I just needed a confirmation beacause I had read otherwise as I said.
