Hey guys,
Recently got an MPC1000 with JJOS2XL and loving it.
Currently using a Keystep (clocked to MPC) as my MIDI input source which is great because I can use the in-built arpeggiator to input patterns into the MPC.
I am however looking for an easier way to programme patterns in a step sequence / x0x format. I'm aware of the view mode in grid edit but I want something a bit more immediate. Plan is to have something running through the second MIDI in alongside the Keystep that can be clocked to the MPC.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
So far I've looked at the Korg SQ1 and the Beatstep Pro.
Doesn't need to have too many bells and whistles, just need a simple step sequencer that allows me to input quickly.
