I have a drum machine that has instrument sounds hard coded to specific midi notes. JJOS should handle reassigning note numbers to the pads, right? Wrong. I started by RTFM and quickly found the information I needed:

Unfortunately it does not work. I reassigned the pads to midi notes as described and then saved the program. When I restarted the MPC and loaded the program nothing was saved - not even the midi channel. I thought I was tripping so I tried a few more times and always had the same results... nada.
I read some other posts on the forum about midi note assign not working right on JJOS. Does the midi part of MPC not apply? I'm on a MPC 1000 running JJOS 02XL version 3.64. Any help would be appreciated!
