I just picked up an MPC 1000 (my first MPC) last month, so far I'm blown away by this little box, a shame I didn't get one 20 years ago. The timing and swing is so tight, the Chord function is perfect for house music productions, and I have a few Hardware Synths hooked up.

I would like to record filter sweeps / decay, envelope, FX changes etc. into the MPC's sequencer. Assuming this is possible, what's the best way to:

a. configure the midi connections
b. to record the midi changes into the MPC

I was thinking it would be best to record the hardware synth midi changes on separate tracks from the notes. I had a go at this but it didn't work. This is my setup:

An1x synth midi out to MPC 1000 in 1
An1x synth midi in to MPC 1000 out 1

MPC 1000 midi out 2 - Mopho x4 synth in
Mopho x4 out - Micromonsta in
Micromonsta out - MPC 1000 in

Many thanks all,
Jim
