JJOS2XL Upgrade

Hi, I'm new to MPC, so sorry if this is a stupid question.
I bought the MPC 1000 used and it came with a pre-installed JJOS2XL Ver. 3.16. I'm wondering whether I should upgrade it and if I do, if I will have to pay for the upgrade.

I believe ver. 3.16 is the free version - which means you will be unable to save projects until yo upgrade to the paid version of JJOS2XL. Hopefully the seller didn't mislead you and tell you it came with the paid version. That being said, I would highly recommend paying to upgrade to the full version. It's terrific.

If you're serious about putting your mpc 1000 to work and getting the most out of it, just save up the doe and get the JJOS2XL. Or else just sell the MPC because working with the stock Akai OS is a waste of time.

First of all, play with the device. Later, do a backup and update. Good buy.
