Hi,

For some reason the routing from 1000 to 2500 on JJOS (2)XL 3.83 (last firmware available) is going like this:
-- STEREO --
ST -> ST :nod:
12 -> 12 :nod:
34 -> 34 :nod:

-- MONO --
1 -> 56 :?
2 -> 78 :?
3 -> 1 :Sigh:
4 -> 2 :smh:

What is going on here, isn't it possible to have it stay on the same channels?
Thx for any help.

On the other way, that's how channels are distributed from 2500 to 1000:
12 -> 12
34 -> 34
56 -> 1
78 -> 2
1 -> 3
2 -> 4
3 -> L
4 -> R
5 -> (blank)
6 -> O
7 -> F
8 -> F
ST -> ST

Just for reference, there's less outputs on the 1000 so it's expected that there would be some kind of redistribution.
But wouldn't it be better to have them follow the existing channels, and just make the extras go to the ST output?

So I had an answer from JJ, here's how hardware channels are routed:

I made the suggestion to switch L and R to 5 and 6 parameter value, giving:
MPC1000: ST, 12, 34, L , R , 1, 2, 3, 4
MPC2500: ST, 12, 34, 56, 78, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Though he though it was a good idea, he said claims would be sent his way from other users if changed now.
So this thing will never be resolved as it seems to be too late.

Only solution for those who might read this post in the future:
Use 12 and 34 options and pan 100% left or right to get around it.
