Good news it's an easy cheap fix, if you or anyone in your orbit are handy with a soldering iron - just don't do what I did, trying to do it myself with the only shitty tools I can get where I live, burn the PCB board & wreck it, having to replace the whole board from MPCstuff That's not a bad option, just for the F1-6 board it's relatively cheap, but shipping to where I am in Asia doubled the price.
hey i appreciate the reply, but it's definitely not the tact switches. if i first press either the f1, erase, main, left cursor, right cursor, down cursor, rec, or over dub buttons then the buttons that were unresponsive (f5 and f6) become perfectly responsive again. it's just when i power on the mpc without pressing one of those other buttons first, then f5 and f6 are completely unresponsive. it is either a buggy os or my mpc is buggy. but this only started happening when i upgraded to the latest os2xl (3.86) so i feel like it must be a bug in the os.
