select one slice and change its end point until it overlaps the next one's end point. the 2 slices get combined.

come on. don't be naysayers. the man didn't take out any features.

There should be a combine slice function in the edit menu...at least that is what the 2500 has...

nah, this is easier than going to a specific screen to combine slices, this just makes em connect together when you overlap em

It is faster/easier with the combine slice function. No need to scroll/use a cursor wheel to connect slices. You can combine multiple slices on the fly....with the OS labeled Akai vs the Numark OS labeled JJ.

nah we used to have the combine feature in the old akai os, so i know both worlds now. you'er gonna have to trust me on this one. this is more convenient, esp when fine tuning yuour start/end points after a rough autochop. literally takes less than a second, even less now that our data wheel accelerates.
