Can the new OS.....

Purge by Sequence instead of by program? i'm still on 1.7 because it seems to be the most stable of all the AKAI joints and would only consider upgrading for this feature.

its the ONLY thing i have ever wanted in an MPC

as far as i know, you can only purge by sounds not used in a program. what i would like to be able to do is purge by sounds not used in any sequence. Usually, all of my sounds are used in a program but i dont use all of them to make beats so i would like to get rid of the excess to save space on my memory card. so im trying to find out can this new OS do this. all of the other features are nice but i dont need them.

nah the new os cant i guess most ppl dont care about that i dont i got all the memory i need and never havea a problem with excess sounds i just save my program with only the samples used

my advice is to build each pgm from scratch, that'll keep your samples song specific and at the same time keep the size slim.

purge by seq would be superawsome!!!

That would be nice and doesnt look that hard to implement. E-mail him that feature request, who knows he will like it and implement it.

where would i find the contact info to email. i will ask because i've been working on the MP for years and its the only thing i ever needed it to do that it cant do. its too much of a hassle for me to build new programs. especially when talking about drum programs. its just easier for me to load 60 kicks pick the perfect one for the beat and discard what i dont use. but im loading 60 kicks, 60 hats, 60 bass notes, and im making 6 or 7 beats per file so i cant remember which one i did or didnt use. it would be good if i could just purge by sequence.
