Improved tempo detect function

Streamlining the tempo detect function would vastly improve the workflow when dealing with loops. The best method I can think of would be for a sample to be selected, then the user simply to indicate the # of beats that the selected sample plays for. Based on the sample's length, the MPC would determine the BPM. [which could then be timestretched/ sliced by the user to fit into the song's BPM].

Is what I described above covered in any of the operating system improvements? If not, what is the best way to contact the JJ Collective?

i have already contact them about tempo detection. and it has been corrected in the last 4.01 os.

i sended the mail THREE day before they correct it. so they have done a quick good job on it

you will have to use the manual way in the TRIM mode/ Timestreck TEMPO detect.

it works like charm!

there is still the auto mode ( old mpc 1000 way and it is still buggy)

so go with the manual way ( you specify the time sig and the number of bar :=)

the manual way is based on the following equation :

BPM = 60 /((((sample end - sample start)/44100)/TimeSig)/Number of BAr)

sample end - sample start = go in trim mode and check the sample value.
Time signature = 4/4, 8/4 etc....
Number of bars = mesures
44100= this is the definition of our audio resolution

what's is the best preset? i try some fr drum/percussion but really nothing well well made
