loop points in JJ OS 4.xx vs. Akai OS 2.10

Is it just me or are setting loop points different in the JJ OS? I'm in Loop mode. Sample is set to Note On. I set the start/end points where I want the sample to loop. The sample will not start from the beginning of the sample no matter what I do. Only where I set the loop points. If I go back to TRIM mode... those same start/end points are set. I don't think they're supposed to. I don't remember it being this way in OS 2.10. Someone help me out.

Page 64 in the MPC1000 v2 manual...

"When the loop feature in on, the MPC1000 first plays the part from the start point set in the TRIM page to the end point, and then plays the part from the loop point set in the LOOP page to the end point repeatedly."

This isn't the case in OS 4.xx. Unless there's another way to do it. Has this been addressed to JJ yet?

nah man sorry, i don't even use the loop function...if anything i'd just suggest to program a loop into your sequence, not your pad.

Weird, I use it on 4.xx and it works fine for me.

Some pads play the sample from a different point in trim mode. I assume you knew that, I'm just checking, but that could be the problem.

Are you sure you're in loop mode? with loop turned on?

I just checked and as long as loop is ON you should be fine.

I guess that doesn't help, I just thought I'd say it works for me so it's not an OS bug.

I mean.. I can get the sample to loop, but i'm trying to get it to sustain samples using loop points. That's basically my problem. I was able to do it in 2.10 cause the loop/trim page didn't use the same start/end points. This OS does for some strange reason. I guess I can just use software.

ya looping with 4.0 was retarded thats why i switchd back to 2.1

Glad I'm not the only one. We need to get this to JJ to get fixed.

It works fine for me, and I've had problems with pretty much everything else on this machine.

Ok... so what you're saying is when you set your start/end points in LOOP mode, it's different from the TRIM page? My start/end point is the same no matter what page I'm in. That's what needs to be fixed. I did this with no problem in 2.10.
