HI

Im about buying a mpc 1000 very soon, but im just curious if there is piano roll function on it like the mpc 4000 got.
If its a feature on the 3rd part OS.
I have searched all over but cant find any info if it is or not.

Thank you

you can use grid edit the same way, so yes essentially. no keygroups yet though.

mpc 1000 has no piano roll. i THINK this may be implemented in a future update as " 1. MIDI track in GRID." sounds like a pianoroll to me.

other than note duration/display, how does this beat using grid edit?

it doesnt, really. just looks prettier. but there's no way THAT piano roll would be on the 1k

thats a 4k screenshot. pianorolls are useful when an overview of duration is desired. you simply can't see duration in grid edit...aka the drum editor..

this is a 4k screenshot showing the drum editor... aka grid edit

nah i can see that it wouldnt fit on my little green screen. but just the thought of a decent piano roll would be lovely. i use fl studio (not as much latley) and that is one of my favorite things to program melodies, basslines. you know what a piano roll does...
