i hardly touch live anymore

ever since ive picked up the 1000 and jj hooked it up nice for us i very seldom feel like working in ableton anymore. im almost sold on getting a mpc 4000 as well. anyone using more than one mpc together.

if there was a standalone wave warper like the one in live, i'd be happy without it.

that would be the live killer.you mean just drop a sample in and it automatically just adjusts to the bpm right? i wonder how many years away we from that becoming reality.

no, i mean how you can set warp points and timestretch different sections of the wave individually from the rest of the wav.

that would be cool.

You may not feel like working with Live...but if you have the lastest version and mastered it..you can do more with that than any MPC...

obviously. you can do more with ableton live 4. thats not was i was saying.im sick of looking at a computer screen and playing with a mouse.dont get me wrong i wont give up live,but all my beats are made in the mpc first and then tweaked in live.

since i've figured out how to midi up the mpc to live, i'm actually enjoying working on both simultaneously. warping samples on live and adding effects from vst's, then triggering the clip via midi and sampling it back into the mpc. and doing the sequencing there.

i did read something about sampleing from the pc being crap, so the experienced users reading this will probably be either laughing or yelling. but yeah i'll be trying out the whole render to wav then usb-ing it over.

i do love the combo of the two and i'd be hard pressed to dump one over the other. and i cant wait to get my hands on live 6.

Live plus an MPD-24?

just sync the two, and work both...
