Is is technically possible for there ever to be an update that would allow for more than 128mb of ram on the 1000?

I mean I was just wondering because according to Akai website, there are only like 5 hard drives that work in the 1000. We know that is not true. They also don't advertise that technically the 1000 is identical to the 2500, besides the cd and outs and pads, of course. Maybe they want everybody to but the Akai ram and then have them buy another one when a larger one becomes available.

i already asked JJ about this, and there is his anwser from the FAQ :

[128Mbytes memory]
A memory cannot be increased more than 128M ON the problem of CPU and hardware.
It seems that the memory of 256M is used since the memory of 128M cannot be obtained.

this is an hardware limitation, not due to the OS.
