I am sure it gets used, just not at that moment. That guy performs some pretty amazing finger-drumming. Too bad my wrists start hurting whenever I try to drum for real on the pads.

David Haynes is awesome, there's a ton of videos on youtube of him, and they're all impressive...

He always uses that old Alesis box as his controller(drumset). I'm pretty sure the MPC is there just for soundsource. In another video he used a Yamaha for source sounds.

Why not the MPC? My guess is he is more used to the pad setup of that Alesis...I wonder how many of those he has?
