Trim screen problem

whats up everyone..

i cant seem to find the answer to my question in any of the pdf manuals.

when chopping in trim mode, i have quite a long sample and when i zoom in it only seems to zoom in on the start point?? so when i move over to edit the end point, i cant see the end point on the screen.

ive tried zooming out and then back in, but it still zooms in on the start point, even when i have end point selected??

am i missing a way to scroll across the waveform without actually changing to another slice?

I have had the same problem.




this is what works for me.

zoom all the way back out when you are in the start point sample time code THEN scroll over to end point. Then it will focus. If you scroll over to the end point time code when zoomed in your just started the bug.

And if this dose not work for some reason... edit the sample by extracting or discarding. Then scroll over to the end point sample time code.

report this as "in chop mode, cannot zoom in on END POINT"

i have noticed it too. i work around it by always zooming in to the start point on the next file (which is the end point of the one before) and doing it that way, but i'd love to be able to zoom in on either.

Noticed this last night, but just used the last start point, as Ant already suggested. You used to be able to zoom in on the end point, unless I'm confusing operation with the 4k.

what your saying is a good idea... I do that too. I was thinking just one transient, one sample.

my suggestion works, but it's still a little inconvenient. would be more workflow-supportive to be able to zoom in on anything

Is this a 1000 specific question or does it apply to the MPC 2500 as well?

thanks for the suggestions and info... at least there is a reasonably easy work around... but yes, it would be a nice update / bug fix.

im literally 2 weeks into my first MPC ever, and other than this tiny annoyance, this OS seems to be perfect.
