I've been using the JJ os these days and I noticed that whenever I mess with the levels in the mixer, the panning gets all crazy and moves by itself, left, right, all over. I am pretty sure this did not happen to me in 2.1, and I am also sorry if this issue has been covered. anyhow, if anybody else has had this problem let me know, if it's just a bug, hopefully they will fix this in the next update. Peace!

Do you use OS 3.xx or 4.xx?

By aceLX Fri Dec 01, 2006 1:56 am
I use 4.15 now. I had this problem on 3.06, just a lot worse, the panning knobs would slide all the way left if I hit that pad. 4.15, it's not as bad, but it's still there. if I hit the pad two, three times it will slide a little to the right, or to the left. it's **** up, but for some reason only happens with most of the pads, probably 80% though.

doiesnt happen to me at all.. are you accidently moving the qlinks?

By aceLX Fri Dec 01, 2006 6:21 am
no...but then again my qlinks are both broken haha. I didn't know you could control the panning with the sliders though. may be the problem..

did you turn to "yes" record mix changes in setup in mode mixer?

By aceLX Mon Dec 04, 2006 11:15 pm
no, record mix changes is not selected. and nym, my sliders have been broken ever since I got my mp actually. Q1 acts a little funny, like when chopping with it in Trim, if I'm holding the after key and just give the slider the slightest tap it sends the start point to the way other end., it just behaves really erratically. as for Q2 the shits just broken, doesn't work at all.

anyways, I've called VST and they said I have to solder in some piece that's like $5, I'm just uneasy about it since I've never fixed anything in the mp, only had it since august so no dead pads or anything I Just got it used and happened that the sliders were broken, everything else is okay though. I actually opened it up and cleaned off the front panel a little bit there were like cookie crumbs and shit it looks like the guy before me had a picnic on this mpc. if anybody has ever done a DIY job on the qlinks, and could give a brief tutorial, it would be madly appreciated though.

Try deoxit on the sliders.

Having the same situation man. My **** panning in the mixer just moves by itself when I'm adjusting levels. My q-link is not broken and no I don't have it selected to change during recording. Im using JJOS .3.09
