Still gettin this problem?

Hey guys,
So this problem still is happening to me and really bugs me. Lets say i have a sample and i want to chop it up, i could spend a good amount of time getting everything right and i convert to sliced samples and create a new program, but there is added air at the start of the chops and the ends are cut off??

I read some search results and tried going over the St:00000000 and hitting the window key and changing that, but the same thing still happens?

Am i making a stupid mistake or what?

i think i got that bug too. i discard the start blank before chopping and it's all good.

i didn't have this problem after one of the 4.xx os releases, they took out the akai but where they had an attack in which smoothed the start of the chopped sample...after that, it chops exactly as i want it

got that bug since maybe os 4.1X.
to sum up : if you have a sample with a blank at the start and when you chop you move ST at other value than 00000000 for the first slice then the result
after creating a program is a first slice with a blank ( i guess the part before the value of ST) and all other slices are not the same than before creating slice samples program.

edit : noticed that bug too when selecting an area before chopping ( hence when start isn't the start and end isn't the end)

I dont really understand what you said first, but the second problem is whats happening to me, if i have maybe a 10 second sample and i have it trimmed to like 4 seconds in the middle and chop that it comes out like a disaster, but i found that if you just extract it and work from there it works fine.

you can extract (like you do) or discard (like i do) in trim mode

le rat is saying if you set the start/end points of your sample because it was not trimmed then when you slice & export, your slices will inherit that start point as well. suggestion is to work with a sample that is already trimmed to the beginning so that the slices start at the beginning. my slices typically come out fine, but i noticed the zoom is kind of jacked, so its best to zoom ALL the way in. if you are working in a midrange zoom, your slices will be completely off. this is a bug but i dont know how to explain it.
